Advancing the understanding of the academic, social, and emotional needs of gifted children in Utah
CO-SPONSORSHIP OF PROJECTS/ACTIVITIES
WITH OTHER GROUPS/ORGANIZATIONS

UAGC will consider proposals from other groups or organizations to co-sponsor projects or activities that have potential to benefit gifted/talented education in Utah. Co-sponsorship funds may be distributed according to the following guidelines:

Proposals must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the commencement of the project/activity to be co-sponsored.

Proposals must include the following information:

  • The purpose of the project/activity and its relationship to gifted and talented education.
  • The dates of the project/activity.
  • A brief description of the project/activity (with a time-line, if appropriate).
  • A budget outline.
  • The specific amount being requested from UAGC.

The Board will discuss the awarding of a co-sponsorship grant at its next regularly scheduled board meeting following the reception of the proposal; the decision will be made by majority vote of the Executive Board.

Proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria:

  • The proposal advances the purposes of UAGC.

  • The proposal promises statewide impact, either directly or indirectly.

  • The proposal advances the name recognition of UAGC.

  • The proposing organization has explored other available sources.

The Board reserves the right to grant any or all of the amount requested.

If possible, UAGC will be listed as a co-sponsor of the project/activity on publicity materials and will be highlighted at the project/activity that was funded.

Based on the cosponsored project/activity, the proposing organization will write an article for the UAGC newsletter or make a presentation at the UAGC Annual Conference.
