CO-SPONSORSHIP OF PROJECTS/ACTIVITIES
WITH OTHER GROUPS/ORGANIZATIONS
UAGC will consider proposals from other groups or organizations to co-sponsor projects or activities that have potential to benefit gifted/talented education in Utah. Co-sponsorship funds may be distributed according to the following guidelines:
- Proposals must be submitted at least 60 days prior to the commencement of the project/activity to be co-sponsored.
- Proposals must include the following information:
- The purpose of the project/activity and its relationship to gifted and talented education.
- The dates of the project/activity.
- A brief description of the project/activity (with a time-line, if appropriate).
- A budget outline.
- The specific amount being requested from UAGC.
- The Board will discuss the awarding of a co-sponsorship grant at its next regularly scheduled board meeting following the reception of the proposal; the decision will be made by majority vote of the Executive Board.
- Proposals will be evaluated according to the following criteria:
- The proposal advances the purposes of UAGC.
- The proposal promises statewide impact, either directly or indirectly.
- The proposal advances the name recognition of UAGC.
- The proposing organization has explored other available sources.
- The Board reserves the right to grant any or all of the amount requested.
- If possible, UAGC will be listed as a co-sponsor of the project/activity on publicity materials and will be highlighted at the project/activity that was funded.
- Based on the cosponsored project/activity, the proposing organization will write an article for the UAGC newsletter or make a presentation at the UAGC Annual Conference.
