SENG Model Parent Support Group

This is a six-week guided discussion group to learn about the social and emotional needs of bright/gifted/talented children, and the parenting issues related to those needs. The class will be held on Tuesday evenings running April 4 to May 9, 2017. Registration is required. There is a $25 registration fee, which covers the cost of handouts and the required textbook.
The emphasis is on positive aspects of parenting, avoiding power struggles, and helping these children learn appropriate life skills while enhancing the parent/child relationship. Topics will include: Identification/Characteristics; Motivation & Discipline; Intensity, Perfectionism & Stress, Communication; Peer & Family Relationships; Values, Traditions, Unhappiness & Depression; Complexities of Successful Parenting.
